Abstract
Background: Depression is a symptom that has been observed since long time ago and is the main mental health problems today. Adolescent vulnerable to depression, because of the process of adaptation to various stressors of life. if it doesn’t get controlled can lead to antisocial behavior disorders that can settle into antisocial personality disorder when they became adults. This behavior disorders have very adverse consequences, not only for adolescents who experienced it but also for the community. Objective: This study aimed to prove whether there is a relationship between depression with antisocial behavior at school among adolescents. Method: The study was a correlational research with cross sectional approach. Depression and antisocial behavior was measured by scores on the questionnaire. The sample was 37 respondents which are Mardisiswa high school’s students in Banyumanik, Semarang, that met the inclusion criteria. The selection of respondents using simple random sampling. Research data were analyzed using Chi-Square test. Results: The results of analysis showed a significant correlation between depression with antisocial behavior disorders in adolescents with p = 0.042. Conclusion: There is a relationship between depression with antisocial behavior in adolescents at school. Keywords: depression, antisocial behaviors, adolescents
