Abstract
Background: Enterobacteriaceae is one of important cause lower tractus respiratorius infection in adult. Many factor which guess as cause of nasopharynx Enterobacteriaceae. Main of this study is to search the risk factors of nasopharyngeal colonization by Enterobacteriaceae in adult. Methods: An observasional analytic study with cross sectional at 242 adult who 45-70 years old and have include criteria in Semarang City from January until Apryl 2010. Data has been processed using Chi-Square Test for bivariat by SPSS 15 for Windows. Result: The prevalence of Enterobacteriaceae colonized subject is 21,9%. The risk factor of well water consumption founded RP=1,607, , CI95%= 0,864-2,986, well water for drink consumption RP=0,688, CI95%= 0,371-1,273, well water for food prepare RP= 1,463, CI95%= 0,786-2,720, well water for bath RP=1,712, CI95%= 0,921- 3,183, cigarettes expose RP= 1,184, CI 95%= 0,612-2,289, chronic sickness history RP=1,415, CI95%= 0,768-2,607, fired mosquito aid use RP= 1,917, CI95%= 1,027-3,576. Conclusion: fired mosquito aid use is the risk factors of nasopharyngeal colonization by Enterobacteriaceae in adult,meanwhile the others are not.
