Abstract

Decreasing of sediment quality was caused by organic matter due to the uneaten feed is a problem in tiger shrimp (l'eneus monition F.) culture. Application of bioaugmentation may b can be used to solve this problem due to environmental safety. The objective of this research was to know the influence different substrat composition and effectivity of application of bioaugmetation on organic matter reduction in sediment of shrimp Brackish water pond. Experimental laboratoris and split plot design based on completely randomized design was applied in the research. The main treatment was the substrat substrat composition (A= sand 25% and clay 75%; B= sand 50% and clay 50%; C = sand 75% and clay 25%); as sub-treatment was epicin concentration 1,0 ppm and as a group was day (0; 2; 4; and 6) with three replicates. Anova result indicated that applications of bioaugmentation, especially substrat composition was not significantly affect on the organic matter sediment reduction in tambak soil (P>0.05). Probiotic product dose has a significantly affect (p<0.05) in reducing organic matter at second day. The concentration of 1.0 ppm of probiotic as bioaugmetation indicated the ability to reduce organic matter in the sediment of tambak soil.
