Abstract
Investigation has been done in hatching rate of sea turtle eggs of Eretmochelys imbricata at semi natural nest and natural nest from Sambangan of Karimunjawa islands. The eggs were incubated in natural nest and semi natural nest about 50 days to get process of hatching for observations. Results of this experiment showed that presentation of hatching rate in semi natural nest is more higher (90,66%) then natural nest natural (84,66%). Health condition of turtle in natural nest are more wake than turtle in semi natural nest. Total length of sea turtle in semi natural nest are more longer (8,1 cm) then natural nest, but total weigh of sea turtle from semi natural nest are more lower (451,66 g)) compared to natural nest (452.66 g). The condition of sea turtle from semi natural nest is more better and without wound compared to natural nest (wound,between 20 -- 30%) Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai tingkat keberhasilan penetasan telur penyu sisik, Eretmochelys imbricata di sarang semi alami dan sarang alami. Telur penyu sisik Eretmochelys imbricata berasal dari pulau Sambangan yang terletak di kepulauan Karimunjawa. Telur diinkubasi dalam sarang aslinya, yaitu sarang alami dan sarang semi alami selama ± 50 hari untuk proses penetasan untuk kemudian baru dilakttkan pengamatan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa persentase keberhasilan penctasan telur pada sarang semi alami lebih tinggi (90,66%) dibandingkan dengan sarang alami (84,66%). Kondisi tukik pada sarang alami lebih lemah dibandingkan dengan tukik pada sarang semi alami. Panjang total tukik pada sarang semi alami alami lebih panjang (8,1 cm) dibandingkan tukik sarang alami, tapi berat total tukik sarang semi alami alami lebih rendah (451,66 g)) dibandingkan dibandingkan tukik sarang alami (452.66 g). Pada tukik sarang semi alami, kondisi tukiknya lebih baik dan tanpa terluka dibandingkan dengan sarang alami (terluka antara 20 — 30 %).
