Abstract
BSI is the primary blood vessel infection that occurs without any other organ or tissue, which are suspected to be the source of infection. BSI is one of the data sources, which is used to control nosocomial infection at the hospital. The risk factors that often cause BSI are the patients’ sensitivity to infection and the use of intravenous canula through invasive actions, for example: infusion. The aim of this research was to develop BSI (caused by invasive infusion) information monitoring system that give complete, exact and accurate information; in supporting the action of Nosocomial infection controlling program at inpatient ward II RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta. This study was a qualitative research employing In depth Interview Method. The subjects were the Nosocomial Infection Controll team and hospital’s strategic managers. The object of this study was the BSI (caused by invasive infusion) Information Monitoring System that was established and used in the inpatient ward II RSUD Dr. Moewardi Surakarta.
