Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the factors (wage, time, education, age) that affect the labor’s interests in periodic circular migration from Salatiga to Semarang. To achieve these objectives, this study used logistic regression analysis technique (binary regression logistic) using primary data from 100 people as the sample of migrant from Salatiga who work in Semarang. The binary regression logistic model which used in this study tried to find a best-fit model by making several scenarios to test the hypothesis. The significant factors on the interest of migration circular as shown in the best-fit model in scenari are the wage (p-value 0.023) positive significant, the time by doing circular migration (p-value 0 036) is significant and negative, the educational status (p-value 0027) positive significant, and the age (p-value 0.041) negative significant. The result from the binary regression model predicts that respondents consistently claimed to be a circular migrant are huge at 96.3%. So that the overall, the binary logistic regresion model used to explain the factors that affect the interests of respondents did circular migration to the city of Semarang has a reliability in the prediction of 95%. The figure was at once explained that the attitudes of respondents in this study prefer become a circular migrants
