Abstract

Nursing services is an integrated part with health services at a hospital. A nurse must serve patients about 24 hours/day to provide needed services and has an important role to satisfy them. The objective of this research was to describe the influence of the patient’s perceptions concerning on quality of nursing care services at the Inpatient Room which consisted of nursing care standard, knowledge, skill, and nurse’s attitude to the patient’s satisfaction. This was an observational research with cross sectional approach. Research instrument used questionnaires for 72 patients who had obtained nursing care servicesat the Inpatient Room. Data were analyzed quantitatively by using the methods of univariate, bivariate, and multivariate with Logistic Regression Test assisted by the software of SPSS version 11.5. The result of this research showed that most of the respondents were female (62.5%), had 20-45 years old (69.4%), graduated from Senior High School (45.8%), worked in private sector (65.3%), and had a middle income (45.8%). Most of the respondents had unfavorable perception to knowledge (72.2%), unfavorable perception to skill (58.3%), unfavorable perception to attitude (62.5%), and unsatisfied (58.3%). Based on bivariate analysis, variables of Nursing Care Standard perception (p=0.009), knowledge (p=0.026), skill (p=0.000), and attitude (p=0.000) had a significant relationship with the patient’s satisfaction. The result of multivariate analysis revealed that perception to skill (p=0.000; Exp B: 16.085) and attitude (p=0.037 and Exp B: 5.140) were the most influenced variables to the patient’s satisfaction.
