Abstract

Patients’ satisfaction indicated the level of impression on the accepted health services. Satisfied would be loyal and consistent. Until this time, the contribution of the spiritual services provided to the Christian patient’s satisfaction at the Inpatient Unit of Panti Wilasa Dr.Cipto Hospital, has not been studied yet. The objective of this research was to analyze the influence of spiritual service to the patients’ satisfaction at the Inpatient Unit of Panti Wilasa Dr.Cipto Hospital in Semarang. This was an observational research with cross-sectional approach. Population was all Christian patient at the Inpatient Unit who obtained spiritual service (427 persons). The subject were 138 persons who were chosen by consecutive sampling method. Data were analyzed using bivariate analysis (Chi Square Test) and multivariate analysis (Logistic Regression with Enter Method). The result of descriptive analysis showed that most of the respondents perceived good interpersonal relationship with the pastor’s services (50.7%), good counseling technique of the pastors (50.7%), and good timeliness of the pastor’s service (63.8%). Based on the bivariate analysis, variables of interpersonal ability and counseling technique of the pastor’s had a significant association with the patients’ satisfaction at the Inpatient Unit of Panti Wilasa Dr.Cipto Hospital Semarang. The result of multivariate analysis showed that variables of interpersonal ability and counseling technique of the pastor together influenced the patients’ satisfaction.
