PREVALENSI DAN DISTRIBUSI GANGGUAN ELEKTROLIT PADA LANJUT USIA DI BANGSAL PENYAKIT DALAM RSUP Dr. KARIADI SEMARANG

Abstract

Background Increasing number of the old people faced by almost every country, include indonesia. Based on international people demography report issued by Bureu of the census USA, explosion of the old people in Indonesia estimated increase 414% on 2025. Increasing number of the old people in the same way increase health disturbance risk at the old people. One of health disturbance that usually at the old people is electrolyte balance disturbance. Methodology Descriptive research approach on electrolyte disturbance by geriatric patient in internal medicine ward at RS. Dr. Kariadi Semarang during 1 January – 31 December 2005 period. Result In one year founded 742 respondents, and we founded 637 cases with electrolyte disturbance.The youngest patient is 60 years old and the oldest is 85 years old. The most age group that had electrolyte disturbance is 65-69 years old is 240 (37,7%). Man with electrolyte disturbance is 420 (65,9%) and women is 217 (34,1%). Kind of electrolyte disturbance happen is hyperchloride 224 (35,2%) then hyponatremi 133 (20,9%). Conclusion The Geriatric patient with electrolyte balance disturbance can be happened because there are interlaced with some factor.
