Abstract

Background : Hepatocelluler carcinoma is primary neoplasms of the liver from hepatosit and become the third factor of mortality in the world caused by cancer. The highest risk factor of hepatocellular carcinoma are HBV and HCV.there are differences in clinical profile between these factors. Objective : Knowing differences the clinical profile from the patient who are infected HBV and HCV hospitalized in Internal department of Dr. Kariadi Hospital 1st january 1998 – 31st December 2000 Method : Analitical study with cross sectional The Sample was hepatoma patients hopitalized in Internal department of Dr. Kariadi Hospital 1st january 1998 – 31st December 2000 Result : Prevalence hepatoma patient with HBV 20,8 % and HCV 5,1% Ratio male and female in hepatoma with HBV 6:1, HCV 3:1. The age range of hepatoma patient with HBV 40-54 years old, HCV 55-69 yeras old.In this case patient who lived in Semarang (47,8 %), pensioner (30,5 %), hepatomegaly (58,7 %).The type of neoplasm with multinoduler HBV are 20 cases (54,1%), massive 8 cases (21,6%) and multinoduler HCV 5 cases (71,4%). Hepatoma classified Child Pugh (A+B) in HBV 18 cases (78,3%) and HCV 4 cases (57,1%). For the Child Pugh (C) in HBV 5 cases (21,7%) and VHC 3 cases (42,9%). From all of those data only age has significant result (p=0,009). Conclusion : Hepatoma patient infected by HBV is 10 years younger than hepatoma patient with HCV.This result might to different transmission route and mechanism of carcinogenesis between these viral. Most of hepatoma with HCV accompanied by cirrhosis, while hepatoma with HBV having good liver function. This different can be seen from the noplasm type and Child-Pugh. Keywords : hepatocellular carcinoma, Hepatitis B viral, hepatitis C viral, clinical profile
