Background : Pandanus conoideus is one of traditional plants containing a highly of antioxidant. Now Pandanus conoideus is becoming focus in public. Out of 12000 ppm total of carotenoid, 700 ppm between it is betacaroten. While tocopherol reachs 11000 ppm and vitamin C 25,70 mg per 100 gr Pandanus conoideus. The antioxidants bothers chain reaction of oxidation to lessen damage caused by free radical. The objectives of the study was to know the effect of Pandanus conoideus to the aging resistance of skin elastin in balb/c mice. Method :This study was an experimental laboratory research with the post test only control one group design. The object of the study were 10 female Balb/c mice. They were divided into 2 groups : K as control group ( only given presentation of UV) and P as experimental group ( which were given presentation of UV and 50 µl/sonde of Pandanus conoideus extract every day during three weeks). Result : Average number of skin elastin fibers in balb/c mice at group of control is 48,87 ± 12,89 and group of treatment is 30,74 ± 8,93. The statistics result test among all groups show significant difference( P = 0,001). Conclusion : Administered of Pandanus conoideus extract with dose 50 µl/sonde every day during three weeks have significant decrease of elastogenesis in Balb/c mice.
