Web based Information System Development on Nurses Registration in Supporting Nursess Supervising and Monitoring by Province Health Worker Council in Central Java

Abstract

Provinces Health Worker Council in Central Java has main tasks in supervising and monitoring nurses by regristation and certification to improve nurses professionalism. By registration, a nurse would have would have a standard competency to avoid malpractice. The supervising and monitoring by the Council had not been done optimally because the established information system could not provide the complete, relevant, timely, accessible and understandable information. Furthermore, the system did not offer simple registration and accessible information at anytime. The objective of this study was to develop a web based information at anytime. The objective of this study was to develop a web based information system for nursess registration in supporting nurses supervision and monitoring by Provinces Health Worker Council in Central Java. The resulted information system which consisted of the input, process, and output components could support the Council in Nurse supervising and monitoring and solvingthe geographical problems by executing online registration and providing information at anytime. The scores for considered average on the new system were higher than the scores of the old system.
