Abstract

Hospital nutrition service (PGRS) is an integral part of a holistic hospital health service which contains a series of activities to fulfill nutrition requirement through meals appropriate to the patient’s disease. At present, PGRS is developed using nutritional intervention decision support system by Nutritional Care Process (NCP) method. NCP is a problem solving method focusing on the nutrition problem and is put into action by performing screening activity, nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation. The nutrition unit of Roemani Muhammadiyah hospital Semarang has not performed screening activity and nutrition assessment, as a consequence the supporting data for nutritional decision is not yet real time and accurate. When PGRS simulation was done manually using NCP method at Roemani Muhammadiyah hospital, it was found that the nutritionist work load mean was 6.82 hours per case. On the other hand, nutritionists on duty in PGRS were only three persons and the average patients served per day was 30 patients. This situation raised problem of not having real time and accurate data and of having heavy workload. Sumber Utama : www.mikm.undip.ac.id
