Abstract
A migration has been conducted to a 2D land reflection Seismic data by utilizing finite difference migration method in Seismic data processing. The processing of the data, that were acquired from a field Seismic acquisition, was carried out computatively by Geovecteur@ plus 5.1 software. Finite difference migration consists of two stages that is firstly conducting the downward seismic wavefield extrapolation and secondly collecting the seismic wavefield to the point of t = 0 (imaging principle). The result of the migration is figured out by some more strongly reflectors in which the diffracted wave and dipping layer reflection effects had been eliminated, then the reflector had been properly positioned. Comprehensively, the migrated seismic section is better than the section of the previous processing result. By utilizing a synthetic data in form of a subsurface geological model of syncline, it can be established that the migration process is capable to represent the actual subsurface section.
