Abstract

Background: 1,2 DMH is a procarcinogen induces colon carcinogenesis subcutaneous. Amorphophallus oncophyllus contains of cellulose wich help the food through intestines smoothly, lignin as substrat of colon mucous energy, and glucomannan as natural fiber with high viscosity. The degradation of those fibers produce butirat acid that could increase the immune system. The purpose of this research was mainly to proove the influence on wistar’s spleen because of colon carcinogenesis induce and the effect of Amorphophallus oncophyllus fibers on induced Wistar. By observing the histopathological pattern of spleen on Wistar. Method: This laboratoric observasional study used 25 Wistars divided into 5 groups, each group consists of 5 Wistars. Group I, normal Wistars without treatment. Group II, induced colon carcinogenesis (1,2 DMH subcutan, high lipid and high protein dietary). Group III, given cellulose dietary plus carcinogenesis induction. Group IV, given lignin dietary plus carcinogenesis induction. Group V, given Amorphophallus oncophyllus dietary plus carcinogenesis induction. At the beginning of 9th week, all of Wistars were terminated and histopathological sample of the spleens were made for furthermore examination. Data in the form of spleen’s macroscopic and microscopic patterns were analized descriptively and presented in table and graphic. Result: Volume(mL) of group; I:0,38, II:0,62, III:0,65, IV:0,52, V:0,55. Weight(gr) of group; I:0,33, II:0,76, III:0,52, IV:0,48, V:0,50. Average centrum germinativum’s diameter(μm) of group; I:16,00, II:12,38, III:13,67, IV:14,40, V:14,5. Average white pulp’s diameter(μm) of group; I:31,60, II:27,88, III:28,50, IV:32,40, V:30,83. Marginalis zone’s(μm) of group; I:1,40, II:4,38, III:2,17, IV:1,80, V:1,67. Lymphosyte’s count of group; I:29, II:23, III:33, IV:26, V:26. Plasma cell’s of group; I:0, II:1, III:1, IV:1, V:1. Macrophage’s count of group; I:1, II:2, III:1, IV:1, V:1 Conclusion: This experiment was describe the macroscopic and histopathological pattern of spleen on group I, group II, group III, group IV, and group V Key Words: Amorphophallus oncophyllus, histopatological pattern of spleen, colon carsinogenesis.
