Abstract

Pada penelitian ini, parameter kinetika limbah cair tapioka sintetis ditentukan pada proses lumpur aktif dengan resirkulasi lumpur. Limbah tapioka sintetis mempunyai COD awal 4000 mg/I. Proses pengolahan pada waktu tinggal sel (Solid Ratention Time, SRT) bervariasi dari 4, 8, 12, dan 16 hari. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa proses lumpur aktif dengan resirkulasi lumpur mampu mengolah limbah tapioka sintetis dengan efisiensi penyisihan rata-rata di atas 90 % Pada SRT 8, 16, 24, dan 32 hari diperoleh efisiensi penyisihan COD berturut-turut sebesar 89,4, 92, 93,3, dan 94,3 %. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh harga laju pertumbuhan sepesifik maksimum relatif rendah yaitu 0,21 jam''. Harga parameter kinetika yang diperoleh yaitu laju pertumbuhan maksimum spesifik 0,21 haft', laju kematian spesifik 0,08 konstanta setengah jenuh 51,4 mg/1, dan koefisien perolehan sel 0,46 (mg sel/mg COD substrat). SUMMARY In this research, kinetic parameters of synthetic cassava waste were determined in activated sludge with sludge recirculation. The influent COD was 4000 mg/I. The Solid Retention Time (SRT) was varied of 4, 8, 12, and 16 days. The results shown that the activated sludge with sludge recirculation enables to treat the synthetic cassava waste with average removal efficiency was greater than 90 %. At SRT 4, 8, 12, and 15 days were obtained removal efficiency was 89.4, 92, 93.3, and 94.3 %, respectively. The maximum specific growth rate obtained relatively low was 0.21 hour'. At SRT 4, 8, 12, and 15 days were obtained the maximum specific growth rate. specific death rate, half saturation constant, and yield were 0.21 hour', 0.08 hour', 51,4 mg/1, and 0.46 (mg-cell/mg-COD), respectively.
