PENINGKATAN ETOS KERJA DALAM UPAYA PEMBINAAN KOPERASI PEDESAAN (Studi Kasus Di Desa Sirahan Kecamatan Cluwak, Pati )

Abstract

The aim of this research is firstly to know the cultural background yhat encourage the working ethos in developing the economic status and examine the cooperation body that meet with the condition of the villagers in Sirahan village, district of Cluwak, Pati regency. Secondly, it is to examine how the cooperation management applied in the society of Sirahan dwellers and factors that support or impede the running of the cooperation. This reaseach is a case study in Sirahan village, the district of Cluwak, Pati regency. The method applied in this research is qualitative and quantitative method. The data collecting is carried out through indepht interview, field observation, questionare, library and document research. The result of this research shows that the people in Sirahan in their effort to uplift their economic life is successful by establishing some cooperation called "Koperasi Pinjam Kotak", "Koperasi Simpan Pinjam TK (RA)", Koperasi Simpan Pinjam Kelompok Tahlil". The establishment of them is originated from the condition where the villagers are depend¬ent in their economic life, espesialJ.y the weak bussiness group, on "Bank Thithil" that gives loan with high interest. The establishment of this cooperation has evoked the villag¬ers enthusiasm. It can be seen from the percentage of the villagers (76,48 %) who enthusiastically and voluntarily become the member of this cooperation. In the villagers's opinion (97,06%) this cooperation is a great help since it gives loan without any interest and the requirements of becoming the member are quite easy. The effort to make the better life quality of the Sirahan villagers is also originated from the deep religious life that at the same time strengthens their working ethos. By spreading the working ethos through education and social organizations, the development of Sirahan village can gradu¬ally be achieved.
