Abstract
Sukamto, B., et al. 1996. The Utilization of Residue from Tea Beverage Industry as Organic Fertilizer for Increasing Productivity of Forage Crops. This research was carried out to evaluate the utilization of residue from tea beverage industry as organic fertilizer for increasing productivity of forage crops. The research was conducted at Tembalang research field, Animal Husbandry Faculty of Diponegoro University - Semarang, during five months. A split plot design with grass species as mean plot was used. The treatments in mean plot were R1 (Pennisetum purpupoides) and R2 (Setaria sphacelata). The treatments of residue from tea beverage industry as organic fertilizer in subplots were PO (no fertilizer), 91 ( organic fertilizer equal to 50 kg N/ha), P2 (organic fertilizer equal to 100 kg N/ha). and P3 (organic fertilizer equal to 150 kg N/ha). The parameter measured were number of tiller, number of leaf, height of plant, plant yield. The result of this research showed that the species of forage crops and dosage of organic fertilizer were not affected significantly different on number of tiller, number of leaf, height of plant and plant yield.
