Abstract

Penelitian flu dilaksanalem untuk mengetahui pengaruh level protein terhadap portmnbuhan bulu sayap. Enam pulub empat d.o.d. itik Manila dipelihara pada petak lanai dun di tats dalam 4 perlakuan Itik diberi pakan dengan berbagai level protein ransum (14%, 18%, 22% den 26%) dengan energy metabolis 3000 kkal/kg Data dikunipulkan dari itik umur 7 sampai 11 minggu dan dianalisis berdasarkan rancangan acak lengkap dengan pole faktorial. Panjang den kiln perturnbuten bulu sayap clan itik pada eemua pertode umur, nyata lebih tinggi pada protein yang tinggi dibandingkan pada protein yang lebifr rendah. Persentase bulu sayap yang diperoleh pada itik umur 11 minggu mentmjuickan bahwa level protein yang tinggi diperoleh angka lebih besar dibandingken pada level protein yang nendah, namun tidak ada perbedaan yang nyata antes level protein 18% dan 22%. Kata Kunci Lajn perttunbuban Witt kik Manila, ABSTRACT The experiment was conductued to determine effect of level protein on wing feather growth and feather length Sixty four d.o.c. raised in the floor pens were design to four treatment groups. D.O.0 were fed four level of protein ration (14%, 18%, 22 and 26%) with 3000 kcal/kg, of metabolizable energy. Data from 7 to n week's old duck-were analized based on fully radomized Split Plot Design The wing feather growth rate and feather length of duck fed higher protein level were significmily higher than lower one form all periods of age. The feather wing percentage were collect erm 11 weeks old duck indicated that the hijener protein level significantly higher then the lower one but was no significant defferent bettwen 18% protein and 22% protein level. Key word : Feather growth of Manila dock PENDAHULIJAN Itik Manila selakt menghasil¬kan daging dan telur juga meng¬basilican bulu yang mempunyai anti ekonomi tersendiri. Bain itik Manila dapat digunakan sebagai kemoceng, pengisi knew, selimut dan mantel, bahan pakan unggas serta bahan balm pembuatan "shuttle cock".
