Abstract
The research was carried out to study tannin of tea waste addition as agent manipulation in rumen metabolism to ammonia concentration and protein digestibility In Who with cattle rumen liquor. The experiment was designed in completely randomized design (CRD) with 7 treatments and 6 replications. Result of the research showed that tea waste addition that content 6 mg tannin in the fermentation medium was significantly (P<0,05) decreased ammonia concentration and protein digestibility if? vitro. The decreasing of protein degradability was figured out by decreasing of ammonia concentration. In ,this experiment, tannin from tea waste can be used as protein protection in ruminant to decrease its degradability in the rumen to improve flux (protein supply) in intestine, Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahul penambahan ampas teh sebagai sumber tanin sebagai agent manipulasi metabollsrne rumen terhadap konsentrasi amnia dan kecernaan protein dengan cairan rumen sapi secara in vitro. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan 7 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan arnpas teh setara dengan kadar tanin 6 mg dalam medium fermentasi nyata (P<O,05) menurunkan konsentrasi amonia dan kecernaan protein secara in vitro. Penurunan degradasi protein digambarkan dengan penurunan konsentrasi amonia. Dalam penelitian ini tanin ampas teh dapat digunakan untuk melindungi protein substrat guna menurunkan degradabilitasnya sehingga meningkatkan pasokan protein ke dalam usus halus.
