Abstract
Background: Every anesthesia procedure will influence all body system, include cardiovascular system. Inhalation anesthesia is one of commonly used technique in general anesthesia by using enflurane with high-flow even very high-flow semiclosed system technique. The objective of this study is to prove that medium-flow semiclosed system technique can used safely without lessening anesthesia quality. Methods: This study is an analytic cross sectional method with 44 samples experiencing operation elektif with general anesthesia in Central Operation Theatre Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang fulfilling criterions: age 16-40 years, Body Mass Index ( BMI) 20-25 kg/m2, status of physical of American Society Of Anesthesiologist (ASA) I-II, and the time operate for 1-3 hours. From 44 samples divided to become 2 groups. First group of general anaesthesia of inhalation with medium-flow semiclosed system using N2O 50 % in O2 with 2 l/minute fresh gas flow (FGF) acceleration and enflurane, while second group conducted by a general anesthesia of inhalation with high-flow semiclosed system using N2O 50 % in O2 with 6 l/minute fresh gas flow (FGF) acceleration and enflurane. Tabulating of data using SPSS for Windows. Statistical test done to prove hypothesis with t-test, previously has done Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Assess p<0,05 expressed by significant. Results: There was no significant difference cardiovascular effect on enflurane anesthetic medium-flow and high-flow semiclosed system. This proved that with statistical test at result of measurement cardiovascular covering systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse at 15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes with a level of significants p>0,05. Conclusion: There was no difference cardiovascular effect on enflurane anesthetic between medium-flow and high-flow semiclosed system technique. Keywords: Enflurane, medium-flow, high-flow, semiclosed system.
