PERBANDINGAN POPULASI TUNGAU DEBU RUMAH PADA KASUR KAPUK DAN NON-KAPUK DI PERUMAHAN PJKA KELURAHAN RANDUSARI SEMARANG SELATAN JAWA TENGAH

Abstract

Background: House Dust Mites (HDM) have important role in human healthy because HDM can cause asthma symptoms, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and dermatitis. The biggest HDM population was found in mattress dust. The density of HDM population in mattress is influenced by many things.This research has a purpose to know the comparison of HDM population between kapok mattress and non kapok mattress at PJKA housing kelurahan Randusari, South Semarang, Central Java. Methods: This research is an observational analytic with cross sectional study. It was used 9 kapok mattresses and 9 non kapok mattresses, obtained by simple random sampling, with no treatment, and the outcome was the population of HDM. Data will be analyzed with Kolmogorof-Smirnov test and continued with independent t test Results: There is very significant different (p= 0,000) of HDM population between kapok mattress and non kapok mattress at PJKA housing kelurahan Randusari, South Semarang, Central Java. Conclusion: The population of HDM in kapok mattress is bigger than its population in non kapok mattress at PJKA housing kelurahan Randusari, South Semarang, Central Java.
