Abstract
Impregnation of nickel cloride onto the Y-zeolite and their ulitilization for hydrocracking catalyst have be done. As first step, the synthetic Y-zeolite was modificated by added of ammonium nitrat 2 M, then these were calcinated for 5 hour at 450°C. Furhter, the product was impregnated with nickel eloride in ethanol at pH 6. The concentration of nickel cloride solution were 0,4 %, 0,6%, 0,8%, 1,0%, 1,2% and 1,6%, respectively. The character of Ni/Y solid were conducted by measuring nickel content, crystallinity, specific surface area, pore volume and pore radius. In addition, thc determination of the character also carried out to H/Y-zeolite. Activity test of Ni/Y catalyst was carried out in hydrocracking procees at 350°C and 150-230°C fraction of Minas Crude Oil was used as feed. Finally, the liquid product was analyzed by gas chromatograph-mass spectroscopy. The result of this experiment showed that nickel content onto WY zeolite after impregnation process increased by the incrcasing of the concentration of nickel cloride solution. From the measuring of crystallinity, it has been known that relative crystallinity of I-I/Y-zeolite after impregnation was decrease. It was about 26 — 28%. From the test of activity, it has been obtained that the highest of CHP was 55% (loaded Ni 2,51%). In addition, we got information that Ni/Y were able to convert the Cis-Cts coumpound of the feed, to produce the Crew as new coumpound. Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang impregnasi nikel klorida pada zeolit-Y dan pemanfaatannya untuk katalis hidrorengkah. Sebagai langkah awal, zeolit-Y sintetis dimodifikasi dengan menambahkan amonium nitrat 2M, kemudian dikalsinasi selama 5 jam pada temperatur 450°C. Selanjutnya, basil drimpregnasi dengan nikel klorida dalam pelang etanol pada pH 6. Konsentrasi nikel klorida adalah 0,4 %; 0,6%; 0,8%; 1,0%; 1,2% dan 1,6% (%b/b). Karakter padatan Ni/Y ditentukan dengan mengukur kandungan nikel, kristalinitas, luas permukaan spesifik, volume pori dan jejari pori. Selain itu, penentuan karakter juga dilakukan terhadap zeolit 1-1/Y. Uji aktivitas katalis Ni/Y dilakukan dalam proses hidrorengkah pada temperatur 350° dengan urnpan minyak bumi minas fraksi 150-230°C. Akhiniya, produk berupa cairan dianalisis dengan kromatografi gas-spektroskopi massa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan nikel pada zeolit H/Y setelah proses impregnasi nieningkat dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi larutan nikel klorida. Dari pengukuran kristalinitas diketahui bahwa kristalinitas relatif zeolit setelah impregnasi berkurang. Kristalinitas relatifnya sekitar 26-28%. Dan hasil uji aktivitas iperoleh bahwa CHP tertinggi adalah 55% pada Ni teremhan 2,51%. Di samping itu, kita juga rnemperoleh informasi hahwa Ni/Y mampu mengkonversi senyawa C13-C23 dan menghasilkan senyawa ham CrC10.
