Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji substimsi jagung dengan biji Sorghum yang diolah secara kimiawi menggunakan Ca (01-1)2 dan CaCo3 terhadap performans ayam broiler. Penelitian dilaksanakan di laboratorium Ilmu Makanan Temak, Amman Nutrisi dan Makanan Temak, Fakultas Petemakan Universitas Diponegoro. Mated yang digunakan 100 ekor ayam broiler strain umur 2 minggu dengan bobot badan awal rata-rata 296,4 ± 16,47 g. Bahan yang dicoba berupa biji Sorghum pecan gang yang disemprot Ca(011)2 dan CaCO3 dengan dosis 5 W100 g dalam lamtan 50 ml air, Rails= disusun dengan kandungan protein 20 % dan energi metabolis 2900 kkallkg. Percobaan disusun dalam pola rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 Mangan. Perlakuan terdiri dad 4 macam ransum : TO : ransum kontrol; TI ; ransum kontrol dengan jagung diganti sorghum; T2 : ransum kontrol dengan jagung diganti Sorghum diolah dengan Ca(OH)2; T3 : ransum kontrol dengan jagung diganti Sorghum diolah dengan CaCO3 Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggantian jagung dengan Sorghum tidak diolah matmun yang diolah menggunakan Ca(OH)2 dan CaCO3 menghasilkan kecemaan protein dan konversi ransum yang sama, namun menghasilkan nilai energi metabolis yang nyata (Pc0,05) menurun. Pengganti jagung dengan Sorghum tidak diolah menghasilkan konsumsi dan pertambahan bobot yang sama, namun Sorghum yang diolah dengan Ca(OH)2 dan CaCO3 nyata (P<0,05) menurunkan konsumsi dan pertambahan bobot badan. The research aimed to replace corn in the ration with sorghum treated chemically using Ca(OH)2 and CaCO3 on the broiler performances. It was conducted at Animal feed sciences laboratory department of animal feed and nutrition, Faculty of Animal Agriculture, Diponegoro University. One hundred head DOC of 2-weeks old with initial body weight of 196,40 ± 16,47 g. were used in this experiment. Sorghum seed was crushed with hammer mill and than sprayed using Ca(OH)2 and CaCO3 at the dose 5 g / 100 g (weight/weight) in 50 ml water. The ration was for me lased to have 20 % protein and 2900 Kkal/kg Energy Metabolism (EM). The experiment was designed in Completely Randomized Designs ICRD) with 4 treatment and 5 replicates. The treatments were TO = Control ration; T1 = replacing corn in the control ration with untreated sorghum; T2 = replacing corn with sorghum treated with Ca(OH)2; T3 = replacing corn with sorghum treated with CaCO3 Replacing corn in the ration with sorghum with or without chemical treatment (Ca(OH)2 and CaCO2) showed no effect on protein digestibility and feed consumption. Ration with sorghum treated Ca(OH)2 and CaCO3 had lower EM as compare with the control ration and ration with untreated sorghum. Feed consumption and body weight gain of broiler feed control ration were simulate to those fed ration with untreated sorghum. However ration using sorghum treated chemically (Ca(OH)2 and CaCO3) decreased feed consumption and body weight gain.
