HUBUNGAN ANTARA KANDUNGAN Hidrogen peroksida DALAM PEWARNA RAMBUT TERHADAP KERUSAKAN RAMBUT

Abstract

Background:Coloring hair contains The Hidrogen peroksida ( H2O2). In coloring hair can cause hair damage because of Hidrogen peroksida oxidation in hair cosmetic materials. This study is aimed to reveal the relation between Hidrogen peroksida contains at coloring hair with the incidence of hair damage. Method: This was an analytical observational study with cross sectional design. The samples was 50 people who have fulfilled the inclusion criteria by Purposive Sampling in semarang salons. The primary data collected as well as the hair were examined microscopically. Validity test of questionnare with expert validity test and questionnare reliabilities with Kuder Richardson 20. the data were analyzed using SPSS for Windows release 13.0 programs.. Result: The mean of validity score was 0,89 (valid), and the Alpha of reliability test was >0,8. 14 (28.0%) sample didn’t colour their hair, besides 36 (72.0%) sample did the coloring their hair. However, 19 (38,0%) has no hair damage, the rest 31 (62,0%)has hair damage. There was a significant relation between Hidrogen peroksida contains at coloring hair with the incidence of hair damage (p<0,01). Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between Hidrogen peroksida contains at coloring hair with the incidence of hair damage. Keyword: Hidrogen peroksida, hair damage.
