Banana germ plasm is a banana population which have cytoplasm that contained genetical material. Plant breeding technology, tissue culture or genetic recombination, much need information of genetic trait and bank of germ plasm for keeping it's availability. Banana is one of fruit commodity which have high economic value. Up to now, there is lack of information abaut diversity of local banana. The aims of this research are to know the diversity of banana in Semarang, it's genomic composition, and to explore high quality cultivar which were productive and more resistant against pests and deasseses. Banana exploration has been done at 17 village occupied 9 residance in Semarang. To determine genomic composition using scoring method (Smmonds and Shepherd, 1955) The finding reseach indicate that there were 47 bananas which consist of 7 genomic composition, i.e: AAL AAA, MB, AB, ABB, ABBB and BB. Klutuk, Jalinan, Kayen, Mas Mauhn and Lilin bananas where cultivar which morepotentoal and more resistant against deaseas.
