The light that is transmitted from lighting thing transmite-called photon. All of electromagnetic wave transverse with light velocity. Our retina ability to look at an object, is caused by light particle, depend on certain wave length. Wave length that it can measure about 30 km to 1 mmm is divided in spectrum area of electromagnetic wave. Quantity of light intensity inverse proporsional with square length to light source. Light intensity that is recommended to used some activities need light to seen are different. The fotosel is one of sensor or transducer to measure light intensity. Change of light intensity cause change of resistivity electric. Graphics feature of resistivity and light intensity descending. If fotosel receives more intensity than down resistivity. The intensity change will use to rmult voltage change of instrument system. The aim of this experiment is to design and make of computerized of a light intensity control system. The control system use microcontroller as interface, that is connecting meter measurement and switch on light source with serial communication in computer, so it can control by them. Steps of experiment are did gradual and divided 2 parts, are hardware and software. At making of hardware, it is designed and made measurement system, such as fotosel sensor, difernensial amplifier, ADC 0804, DAC 0808, and microcontroller 89C51. The other hand, at making of software, it is made computer programming in microcontroller as interfacing and in computer as process, calibrasi and display that it can use to reading, sending and controlling data of light intensity. Result of control system to receive ang send data from computer to interface or sebaliknva show rmier result. Is Y=1,01286 X — 4,66667 and Standart Deviasi is SD = 3,14718, so all of this system can used to light intensity coltroller accuracy. In this experiment, we feel not complete, so needed follow up such as sensor must linierity, ADC and DAC are more bit, and base microcontroller, so it is soo accuracy, light and cheap.
