Abstract
Skizofrenia termasuk jenis psikosis yang menempati urutan atas dari seluruh gangguan jiwa yang ada. Selain karena angka insidennya di dunia cukup tinggi (1 per 1000), hampir 80% penderita skizofrenia juga mengalami kekambuhan secara berulang. di RSJD Surakarta 35-50% dari pasien rawat inap per tahun didiagnosis menderita skizofrenia. Sebanyak 55-75% adalah pasien skizofrenia kronis yang pernah menjalani perawatan lebih dari sekali karena kambuh, sehingga skizofrenia memberikan beban besar bagi penderita maupun keluarganya. Dampak emosional yang dirasakan keluarga karena hendaya pada penderita, stigma masyarakat tentang penderita gangguan jiwa, ditambah minimnya informasi tentang skizofrenia dapat mempengaruhi perilaku keluarga terhadap penderita. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi pasien skizofrenia tentang perilaku keluarga dengan frekuensi kekambuhan pasien di RSJD Surakarta. JEnis penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi adalah semua pasien skizofrenia rawat inap di RSJD Surakarta pada fase rehabilitasi dan pernah dirawat lebih dari sat kali, dengan sampel adalah total populasi sebanyak 39 orang. Uji statistik menggunakan analisis bivariat chi-square test, taraf signifikansi 95%, dan untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan menggunakan koefisien kontingensi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata usia pasien 31,79 tahun dengan jenis kelamin terbanyak laki-laki (64,1%), tinggal dengan orang tua (71,8%), dan rata-rata lama sakit 81,82 bulan. Persepsi pasien tentang perilaku keluarga sebagian besar positif (59%), sedangkan frekuensi kekambuhan adalah jarang (51,3%). Dari uji statistik terbukti ada hubungan bermakna yang lemah antara persepsi pasien tentang perilaku keluarga dengan frekuensi kekambuhannya (p=0,037, C=0,317). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disarankan bagi RSJD Surakarta untuk meningkatkan pelayanan pencegahan yang ditujukan bagi keluarga melalui kegiatan family gahtering, seminar, kursus, maupun konseling. Bagi pemerintah disarankan untuk memberikan perhatian yang lebih besar di bidang kesehatan jiwa khususnya untuk edukasi masyarakat tentang kesehatan jiwa. Its incidence rate in the world is 1 per 1000, and almost 80% of patients relapsed repeatedly. Schizophrenic patients take 35-50% of total inpatients per year in Surakarta District Mental Hospital, 55-75% of them are chronic schizophrenia. Schizophrenia becomes a burden for the patients and their families. The emotional impact suffered by family due to the patient's handicap, the stigma towards patients, and the limitation of information about schizophrenia. These impact may influence the family's behavior towards the patient. The purpose of this research was analyzing the correlation between perception of schizophrenic patients on their family's behavior and frequency of relapse in Surakarta District Mental Hospital. This was an explanatory research using cross sectional approach. Study population was all schizophrenic inpatients on rehabilitation phase and had experience relaps episodes. All of study population was included in this study. Total respondents studied were 39 persons. Chi-square test and coeficient contingency were applied. The results indicated that : the mean of patient's age was 31.79 years, most of them were men (69.2%), senior high school (48.7%), and unmarried (64.1%), and lived with their parents (71.8%). The mean of duration suffering from schizophrenia was 81.82 months. Most of the patients' perception was positive (59%), and the frequency of relapse was categorized seldom (51.3%). The results showed that there was significant correlation between perception of schizophrenic patients on their family's behavior and their frequency of relapse. It is suggested to the mental hospital for increasing prevention service and maintaining outpatients mental condition, by undertaking family therapy, seminars, course, and counseling for the family. Government is suggested to educate community on mental health to reduce the stigma towards schizophrenic patients.
