Abstract

An experimental research was conducted at Kawasan Agroteknobisnis Sumedang. The objective of this study was know the effect of ration containning Tumeric (Curcuma domestica, Val) meal on average daily gain of pregnancy sheep and birth weight. This research used an experimental method that was arranged in Randomized Block Design 5 x 4. there were five kind of treatments, R1 = Control Ration, R2 = R1 + Sel-plek 0,3%, R3 = R1 + Turmeric meal 0,25%, R4 = R1 + Turmeric meal 0,50%, R5 = R1 + Turmeric meal 0,75% from total of ration dry mater. The parameter observed were average daily gain of pregnancy sheep and lamb birth weight. The result indicated that tumeric meal addition on the level 0,75% in ration resulted the best average daily gain of pregnancy sheep and lamb birth weight value.
