Abstract

Penelitian ini ditaksanakan dalum upaya turut serta membantu pemeeahan permasalahan enkup sulitnya pengaturan jam belajar di rumah siswa sekoiah menengah berkaitan dengan program-program paket siaran televisi swasta yang sangat menarik bagi kalangan usia remaja. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan terhadap lingkungan Perumnas Banyumanik Kelurahan Srondol Natant dengan pertimbangan bahwa daerah ini didiami el eh pendnduk yang cukup majemuk, ditinjau dari. segi latar belakang sosial. ekonomi manpun tingkat penghasilan mereka. Program siaran TV yang mulai merebak tingkat nasional diharapkan akan dapat bermanfaat bagi, pembangunan terutama di bidang kebudayaan dan pendidikan. Pelajar yang notabene seorang remaja adalah bagian kehidupan yang mudah terpengaruh oleh informasi yang digenear-genearkan club siaran televisi nasional. Pelajar yang mempunyai Lugas ut.amanya belajar, disela-sela kesibukannya. meluangkun willaunyu untuk menonton TV, sebagai alat hiburannya. Dart. penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap 50 responden siswa SLTP dan SLTA di wilayah Perumnas Banyumanik Kelurahan Srondol Wetan Kadin. Semarang, tornyrau bunyuk pelajar yang menghabiskan waktunya untuk menonton televisi rata-rata 4 jam per hart, bagi pelajar SLTA. Sedangkan untuk pelajar SLTP rata-rata menonton Lelevisinya tebih rendatL Minat belajar ternyata juga diiringi oleh minat menonton TV yang tinggt, sehingga dimungkinkan pelajar sehagian besar menonton TV sambil belajar atau sebaliknya. Sehingga ini akan mempengaruhi konsentrasi belajar mereka, terlehih bila kita iihat bahwa kesukaan mereka pada tayangan jenis komedi sehesar ( 34% ) dan disiarkan sengaja pada jam "prime-time". Untuk mengantinipasi gangguan konsentrasi belajar tersehut, pelajar mengnbah kebiasaan betajarnya pada jam 04.00 - 06_00. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari. prosentase penanfaatan waktu belajar siswa sebesar 26 % atm' sebanyak 13 responden. Dengan demikian adanya pol.a penyiaran dengan menggunakan "prime-time" akan sungat berpengaruh terhadap perubahan polo belajar pars pelajar This research was carried out with the purpose of taking part in solving the problem of arranging the studying time at home among students of high school or High School in relation with the very interesting television programs broadcast by private televison companies. The location of the research is the Housing Compound of Banyumanik Subdistrict of Srondol Wotan with the consideration that this area is inhabited by different kinds of people in the sense or their social and economic background, and also of their income. Television programs which are nationally broadcasted are hoped to be beneficial for the national development especially that of culture and education. Being school pupils as well as being teenagers are human beings easily influenced by any-information they get from television programmes. Actually school pupils should do their main duty, i.e learning school subjects. However, they spend their free time watching television for their amusement. From the research done on 50 respondent of SLTP and SLTA Students at Banyumanik Srondol Wetan area, it is found that most. SLTA students spend 4 hours watching TV each day . Tt's also found that SLTP Students spend less than 4 hours watching TV. The motivation to learn scholl subjects and to watch TV group in paralel, so it is possible for those students to watch TV and learn their school subjects at the sometime or vise-versa. This condition may influence their concentration of their learning the subjects, because they 34% enjoy comedy very much, which is shown at the primary time, the time which should be for learning at home. To anticipate the disturbed concentration, thosestudents change their learning time at four to six p.m. (04.00-06.00). It is concluded hero that 13 students or Z6 % of the respondents feel like to learn at the above time ( 04.00 - 06.00 p.m. ) because of the TV programmes tend to change their choice of time to learn
