Abstract
The overload protection and automation lamp system using LDR light sensor has been fabrication. The system uses current transformers to monitor power usage and LDR sensors to control lighting. Display data using the LCD, and seven segment displays. This system is used to monitor the use of electrical load and provides overload protection when it happens. While the LDR sensor as lighting control system so that the efficiency of electrical energy to run. Systems using AT89S51 microcontroller as the main controller for processing data input from current transformers and sensors LDR and output data for display to the LCD power measurement results. To determine the number of lamps are lit by the seven segment and activate the relay and buzzer. When the system turn on the power measurement process begins. There are three conditions of power usage that is safe, alert and danger. When conditions look up the microcontroller will give instructions to turn off one steaker to load can be reduced. Meanwhile, if the conditions of danger, all system will be turn off by the microcontroller and to start the system again then have to press the reset button. This system has been realized and can monitor power usage and lighting control systems by LDR sensor so that the excess burden (overload) can be prevented. In the study, the measured maximum power of 500 watts.
