Development of Academic Information Systems Web-based (Case Study of SMP Negeri 15 Semarang)

Abstract

Academic data processing SMP Negeri 15 Semarang until the year 2009 has used computer technology to the Microsoft Excel program. Presentation of information and level of ease of data processing are still a constraint. The data collection process, the division of classes, scheduling, assessment, and presentation of information can be done with an Academic Information System. Academic Information System is developed for processing data and presenting academic information. This system was developed using the waterfall model, the programming language PHP version 5.2.4, and MySQL database client version 5.0.45. This system has functions for recording student data, teacher data, subjects, classrooms, years of teaching, values, and displays a list of student information, a list of teachers, schedules, classes, shows and do the arithmetic value of report cards, print a list of students, teachers and list of student values. Academic Information System can improve the utilization of computer facilities at SMP Negeri 15 Semarang as a system which facilitates data processing and presentation of academic information effectively and efficiently.
