Abstract
A patientâs satisfaction is one of the indicators to value either good or bad impression towards accepted health services. A patient who feels satisfied would be loyal and consistent. Until this time, an effectiveness of spiritual services to provide contribution towards a Christian patientâs satisfaction at the Inpatient Unit of Panti Wilasa Dr. Cipto Hospital in Semarang has not been known and there has not had a fundamental concept as a reference for developing. The objective of this research was to analyze the influence of spiritual services towards the patientsâ satisfaction at the Inpatient Unit of Panti Wilasa Dr. Cipto Hospital in Semarang. This was an observational research with cross-sectional approach. Population was all Christian patients at the Inpatient Unit who obtained spiritual services (427 persons). Number of sample was 138 persons carried out by the technique of a consecutive sampling. Data were analyzed using bivariate analysis (Chi Square Test) and multivariate analysis (Logistic Regression with Enter Method). The result of descriptive analysis showed that most of the respondents perceived good interpersonal ability of a pastor (50.7%), good counseling technique of a pastor (50.7%), and good timeliness of a pastorâs services (63.8%). Based on the bivariate analysis, variables of interpersonal ability of a pastor and counseling technique of a pastor had a significant association with the patientsâ satisfaction at the Inpatient Unit of Panti Wilasa Dr. Cipto Hospital in Semarang. The result of multivariate analysis showed that variables of interpersonal ability of a pastor and counseling technique of a pastor together influenced the patientsâ satisfaction. The hospital management should carry out the following suggestions: 1) conduct training of interpersonal communication for a pastor, 2) conduct training of micro and macro skill of counseling technique and pastoral psychotherapy, 3) determine verses of a Bible that are relevant with patientsâ condition and easy to be understood by them, and 4) conduct training of interpersonal communication and counseling technique for a volunteer at a church to improve services. Kepuasan pasien merupakan derajat tinggi rendahnya kesukaan terhadap pelayanan kesehatan yang pernah ia terima. Pasien yang puas akan setia dan konsisten. Sejauh ini belum diketahui seberapa besar efektivitas pelayanan rohani memberikan kontribusi terhadap kepuasan pasien kristen rawat inap di RSPWDC Semarang dan belum ada dasar sebagai acuan pengembangannya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelayanan rohani terhadap kepuasan pasien rawat inap di RSPWDC Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional, dengan pendekatan rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh pasien kristen rawat inap yang mendapatkan pelayanan rohani berjumlah 427 orang. Sedangkan sampel penelitian berjumlah 138 dengan metode konsekutif sampling. Analisis statistik yang digunakan analisis bivariat dengan uji chi square dan analisis multivariat dengan uji regresi logistik metode enter. Hasil analisis deskriptif, kemampuan interpersonal pastoral baik (50,7%), teknik konseling pastoral baik (50,7%), ketepatan waktu pelayanan pastoral baik (63,8%). Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan interpersonal dan teknik konseling terhadap kepuasan pasien rawat inap yang mendapatkan pelayanan rohani di RSPWDC Semarang. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan adanya pengaruh bersama-sama antara kemampuan interpersonal dan teknik konseling terhadap kepuasan pasien rawat inap yang mendapatkan pelayanan rohani di RSPWDC Semarang. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan komunikasi interpersonal pastoral yang efektif kepada pasien, 2) memberikan pelatihan mikro dan makro skill teknik konseling dan psikoterapi pastoral, 3) menentukan materimateri Alkitab yang relevan dengan kondisi penyakit pasien serta menyusun teknik penyampaian yang mudah dipahami, 4) memberikan pembekalan keterampilan komunikasi teraperutik interpersonal dan teknik konseling kepada tenaga tambahan (volunter) dari gereja sehingga dapat melakukan tugas pelayanan yang baik dan tepat sasaran.
