[Analysis Of Inventory Management For Wheat Pollard As Raw Materials For Dairy Cattle Concentrate (Case Study In “Sae” Co-Operation At Pujon, Malang District)

Abstract

The research was conducted in the dairy feed unit of “SAE” Co-operation at Pujon, District of Malang in the year of 2006. The objective of the research was to investigate the management quantification of wheat pollard as a part of raw material in the dairy cattle concentrate. Sample was selected by purposive sampling method. The secondary data was collected during one year. Data were analysed by the quantification management method. The results showed that 4.705 ton/year of wheat pollard supply was needed for per year need economic order quantity about 331.725 ton with 14 time ordering frequency; reorder point was 28.006 ton with lead time 2 days and optimal ordering 23 days; safety stock, maximum inventory, and average stock, respectively were: 16.338 ton, 376.069 ton, and 165.863 tonnes and the total cost of wheat pollard stock was Rp.31.350.522, - per year. The “SAE” co-operation was efficiently managed, particularly in allocating maximum inventory, average stock, and total cost of wheat pollard inventory.
