Abstract
Performance is an employee efficacy in completing a job. Lecturer’s performance can be evaluated from the ability in planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching-learning process. Magelang Midwifery Study Program as one of diploma III educational institutions in Midwifery Major of Semarang Health Polytechnic has not optimized yet in learning process, besides there was a limitation in number lecturers who have academic qualification.The research aim is to analyze the influence of lecturer performance in implementing teaching-learning process in Midwifery Study Program of Magelang for academic year 2005/200. The research is an observational. The method of the study is cross sectional. Population of the study is a total population of fulltime lecturers in Midwifery Study Program of Magelang. Bivariate analysis was testing by chisquare test and multivariate analysis was tested by logistic regression analysis test. The analysis result showed there was a significant correlation between age (p=0.002), education (p=0.038), motivation (p=0.002), satisfaction (p=0.023), perception of compensation (p=0.020), supervision perception (p=0.023) with lecturer’s performance in implementing teaching-learning process. Multivariate analysis result showed that there was an influence of motivation toward lecturer’s performance (p=0.008) with Exp value (b) = 25.670, and satisfaction to lecturer’s performance (p=0.057) with Exp value (b) = 11.209. The recommendations based on the study is to increase lecturer’s motivation in implementing teaching-learning process, followed by the increase of lecturer’s satisfaction in implementing teaching-learning process simultaneously. Also, it is suggested to rise up the number of lecturers with academic qualification at least appropriate with their expertise. Kinerja adalah keberhasilan seorang karyawan didalam menyelesaikan pekerjaan. Kinerja dosen dinilai dari bagaimana melaksanakan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Prodi Kebidanan Magelang sebagai salah satu istitusi pendidikan diploma III jurusan kebidanan Politekniik Kesehatan Semarang proses bembelajarannya belum optimal, disamping dosen yang memiliki jabatan kualifikasi akademik masih terbatas. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja dosen dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar di Prodi Kebidanan Magelang Tahun Akademik 2005/2006. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional. Metode penelitian dengan pendekatan belah lintang (crossectional). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah total populasi dosen tetap Program Studi Kebidanan Magelang. Analisis bivariat dengan ujii Chi Square dan analisis multivariat dengan uji statistik regresi logistik. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang siqnifikan antara usia (p=0,002), pendidikan (p=0,038), motivasi (0,002), kepuasan (p=0,023),persepsi imbalan (p=0,020). Persepsi supervisi (p=0,023) dengan kinerja dosen dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja dosen (p=0,008) dengan nilai Exp(b) = 25,670 dan variabel kepuasan terhadap kinerja dosen (p=0,057) dengan nilai Exp(b) = 11,209. Saran yang dapat direkomendasikan dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan motivasi dosen dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar dikuti dengan peningkatan kepuasan dosen dalam melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar secara bersama-sama, disamping meningkatkan jumlah tenaga pendidik minimal sesuai kualifikasi akademik (S2) sesuai bidang keahlian.
