Abstract
Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia is still very high if it is compared with other ASEAN's countries. Health departement's policy in the effort to decrease is basically refers to strategic intervention "four pillars Safe Motherhood", namely is Family Planning is the first pillar. In Family Planning, the main problem that we face in this time is the low of men's participation in Family Planning program and Reproductive Health. The recent study that is carried out at BKBD Boyolali on February 2008 got the data that men's participation percentage in Family Planning program is still low. Aim of this research was to analysis of factors that influence to Men's participation in Family Planning in Selo district of Boyolali regency. Type of this research was observational with survey analytic research method and cross sectional approach towards 194 fertile age pair men. Sample was carried out with Simple Random Sampling. The result of research that have significant relationship knowledge towards Family Planning (p value = 0.0001), attitude towards Family Planning (p value = 0.005), Social Culture towards Family Planning (p value = 0.024), Access to Family Planning services (p value = 0.0001), Quality to Family Planning services (p value = 0.0001) with men's participation in Family Planning. That have influence of knowledge towards Family Planning (OR = 18.712), Quality to Family Planning services (OR = 17.152), attitude towards Family Planning (OR= 5.663), Access to Family Planning services (OR = 5.228), Social Culture towards Family Planning (OR = 2.020) towards men's participation in Family Planning. The suggestion that can be given is the importance of Education Information Communication enhancing by society or men's group of Family Planning about men's contraception tool to increase men's knowledge about contraception tool. Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) di Indonesia masih sangat tinggi bila dibandingkan dengan negara-negara ASEAN lainnya. Kebijakan Departemen Kesehatan dalam upaya mempercepat penurunan AKI pada dasarnya mengacu kepada intervensi strategis "Empat Pilar Safe Motherhood", yaitu pilar pertama Keluarga Berencana. Dalam Keluarga Berencana masalah utama yang kita hadapi saat ini adalah rendahnya partisipasi laki-laki dalam pelaksanaan program KB dan Kesehatan Reproduksi. Studi pendahuluan yang dilaksanakan di BKBD Boyolali pada bulan Februari 2008 didapatkan data bahwa persentase partisipasi pria dalam ber-KB masih rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap partisipasi pria dalam Keluarga Berencana di kecamatan Selo kabupaten Boyolali. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional dengan metode penelitian survei analitik dan pendekatan cross sectional terhadap 194 pria Pasangan Usia Subur. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampling Simple Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian diperoleh ada hubungan yang bermakna antara pengetahuan terhadap KB (p value = 0.0001), sikap terhadap KB (p value = 0.005), sosial budaya terhadap KB (p value = 0.024), akses pelayanan KB (p value = 0.0001), kualitas pelayanan KB (p value = 0.0001) dengan Partisipasi pria dalam Keluarga Berencana. Ada pengaruh antara variabel pengetahuan terhadap KB (OR = 18.712), kualitas pelayanan KB (OR = 17.152), sikap terhadap KB (OR = 5.663), akses pelayanan KB (OR = 5.228), sosial budaya terhadap KB (OR = 2.020) terhadap partisipasi pria dalam Keluarga Berencana. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah perlunya peningkatan Komunikasi Informasi Edukasi melalui paguyuban atau kelompok KB pria tentang alat kontrasepsi pria untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan pria tentang alat kontrasepsi.
