STUDI PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN SISTEM INFORMASI TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN FAKULTAS EKONOMI UNIVERSITAS DIPONEGORO SEMARANG

Abstract

The title of this study is “The Study of the influence from the information system use on the performance of the employee in Faculty of Economy of Diponegoro University in Semarang”. The purpose of this study are to find out how the influence from the information system use on the performance of the employee in Faculty of Economy of Diponegoro University, to find out how the performance of the employee in Faculty of Economy of Diponegoro University is affected prior and post the use of information system, and to find out what service is expected by the user. The study is conducted by survey on the use of academic information system which is based on internet (SIMAWEB) and its influence on the employee’s performance. The survey is conducted by observation method as well as a comprehensive interview to respondents. The amount of the respondents is 17 people, and it is divided into several groups, that is faculty of management, lecturers, administration staffs, and student who have experience and knowledge in their own field and also play on important role in the process of the use of information system. Based from the result of the study, it is shown that the use of information system/SIMAWEB used to improve the learning process, is successfully proven to give an ease, benefits and its benefits really useful for the employees in doing their task to serve the lecturer, the students and the needing outsider. It means that there are many positive sides for all party, there fore it also gives an influence for the employee’s performance and better service quality for the lecturers, students and the needing outsider. Studi kualitatif berjudul ’Studi Pengaruh Penggunaan Sistem Informasi Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Diponegoro Semarang’, bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh penggunaan sistem informasi terhadap kinerja karyawan Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Diponegoro, untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kinerja karyawan Fakultas Ekonomi UNDIP sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan sistem informasi, serta bagaimana pelayanan yang diharapkan user. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan survei terhadap penggunaan sistem informasi akademik yang berbasis internet (SIMAWEB) dan pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja karyawan dengan metode observasi maupun wawancara secara mendalam untuk memperoleh informasi sebanyak-banyaknya dari semua responden/informan. Jumlah informan adalah 17 orang terbagi dalam kelompok manajemen fakultas, dosen, staf administrasi/karyawan dan mahasiswa yang memiliki pengalaman di bidang tugasnya masing-masing, mengetahui secara mendalam dan banyak berperan dalam proses penggunaan sistem informasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, memperlihatkan bahwa dengan penggunaan sistem informasi/Simaweb di Fakultas Ekonomi yang merupakan salah satu fasilitas guna kelancaran kegiatan proses belajar mengajar, terbukti memberikan kemudahan, banyak keuntungan dan manfaatnya yang sangat menunjang tugas-tugas karyawan dalam melayani dosen, mahasiswa dan pihak luar yang membutuhkan. Hal tersebut berarti mempunyai segi positif bagi semua pihak sehingga berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawa dan dapat memberikan kualitas pelayanan kepada dosen, mahasiswa dan pihak luar yang membutuhkan.
