Abstract
Background : Non steroidal antiinflammatory drugs such as Acetylsalicylic acid have been largely used. Its adverse reactions include superficial gastric erotion that result in peptic ulcer. The cincau hijau leaves have long been used to relieve the digestive disorder. Objective : The objective of the study was to verify the effect of cincau hijau leaves aqueous (Cyclea barbata Miers) on Acetylsalicylic acid-induced gastric acid and gastrohistopathology feature in rats. Method : This experimental study used the post test only control group design. Thirty white male Wistar rats of 12 week old, 150-200 gram of body weight were randomly devided into five groups of six. The five groups were administered orally with Acetylsalicylic acid 90 mg, Acetylsalicylic acid 90 mg + Sucralfat 72 mg, Acetylsalicylic acid 90 mg + cincau hijau 1,35 gram, Acetylsalicylic acid 90 mg + cincau hijau 2,70 gram, Acetylsalicylic acid 90 mg + cincau hijau 5,40 gram respectively. They were fed on ad libitum for seven days. At the eighth day, the rats were fasted for 12 hours before terminated. The concentration of HCL was tested using Argentometry titration and gastrohistopathology feature in rats was examined using Haematoxicilin Eosin dying with mucosal lession scorring. The non parametric test of Kruskal- Wallis and Mann-Whitney were applied. Result : No significant different in gastric acid among the treated groups (p 0,449 > 0,05). Cincau hijau leaves aqueous effects significantly on the gastrohistopathological feature (Chi-square : 3,692. Asymp Sig : 0,004 < 0,05). Conclusion : Cincau hijau leaves aqueous does not effect on the Acetylsalicylic acid-induced gastric acid but it has protective effect againts Acetylsalicylic acidinduced gastric mucosal lession. Latar Belakang : Penggunaan obat-obat golongan Obat Anti Inflamasi Non Steroid (OAINS) seperti Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) di masyarakat masih tinggi. Berefek iritasi terhadap mukosa lambung berakhir timbulnya tukak lambung. Daun cincau hijau dimanfaatkan masyarakat mengatasi tukak lambung. Tujuan Penelitian : Membuktikan pengaruh air perasan daun cincau hijau terhadap konsentrasi HCl lambung dan gambaran histopatologik lambung tikus yang diinduksi ASA. Desain dan Metoda : Penelitian eksperimental laboratorik rancangan the post test only control group design menggunakan tikus putih galur wistar jantan umur 12 minggu berat 150-200 gram sebanyak 30 ekor dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok : I kelompok kontrol (ASA 90 mg), II (ASA 90 mg + Sukralfat 72 mg), III (ASA 90 mg + cincau hijau 1,35 gram) dan IV (ASA 90 mg + cincau hijau 2,70 gram) serta V (ASA 90 mg + cincau hijau 5,40 gram) semua perlakuan diberikan peroral selama tujuh hari, diberi makan-minum ad libitum. Hari ke delapan dipuasakan 12 jam lalu diterminasi. Diperiksa konsentrasi HCl lambung dengan titrasi Argentometri dan gambaran histopatologik lambung tikus dengan pewarnaan Hematoksilin Eosin memakai skor kerusakan mukosa lambung. Digunakan uji non parametrik Kruskal-Wallis dan Mann-Whitney. Hasil : Tidak ada perbedaan konsentrasi HCl lambung antar kelompok perlakuan (p 0,449 > 0,05). Air perasan daun cincau hijau berpengaruh signifikan terhadap gambaran histopatologik lambung (Chi-square : 3,692. Asymp Sig : 0,004 < 0,05). Simpulan : Air perasan daun cincau hijau tidak berpengaruh terhadap konsentrasi HCl lambung tikus yang diinduksi ASA namun berpengaruh melindungi lambung tikus yang diinduksi ASA.
