Abstract

This research has an objective to find out the relation among each of the independent variables, which are, ability, satisfaction, and working discipline with the performance of the employees at the District Office of Tanggungharjo in the Regency of Grobogan. These research data were collected by performing an observational method based on the situation in the site and also by interviewing the respondents. The method of this research has a quantitative analysis characteristic. The collected data based on the responses of questionnaires were analyzed by using correlation statistical technique of Kendall Tau. From the research results, it is found that based on the examined variables; there are positive relations – both individually and collectively – with the variable related with performance. The recommendation resulted from this research are : (i) a necessity of working procedure or standard that may be able to be implemented by the employees; (ii) a necessity of cooperation with working colleagues; (iii) placement of personnel is suited to the educational background ; (iv) improvement of employees’ involvement in education and training; (v) improvement of employees’ comprehension by performing active communication; (vi) a necessity of giving allowances suited to employees’ competences/functions; (vii) giving rewards for employees with good achievements; (viii) giving sanctions for employees violating discipline; (ix) improvement of close supervision. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara masing – masing variabel bebas kemampuan , kepuasan, dan disiplin kerja dengan kinerja pegawai di Kecamatan Tanggungharjo Kabupaten Grobogan. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan metode observasi berdasarkan keadaan dilapangan serta wawancara dengan responden.Metode penelitian bersifat analisis kuantitatif, data yang diperoleh berdasarkan jawaban kuesioner dianalisis dengan teknik statistik korelasi kendall tau. Dari hasil penelitian ini ditemukan berdasarkan variabel yang diteliti menunjukkan ada hubungan yang positif baik secara sendiri – sendiri maupun secara bersama – sama dengan variabel terikat kinerja. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah ( i ) perlunya prosedur atau standar kerja yang bisa diimplementasikan oleh pegawai, ( ii ) pentingnya kerjasama dengan rekan sekerja, ( iii ) penataan personil disesuaikan dengan latar belakang pendidikan, ( iv ) peningkatan keikutsertaan pegawai dalam pendidikan dan latihan, ( v ) peningkatan pemahaman pegawai dengan komunikasi yang intensif, ( vi ) perlunya pemberian tunjangan yang disesuaikan dengan keahlian/fungsi, ( vii ) pemberian penghargaan bagi pegawai yang berprestasi, ( viii ) pemberian sanksi bagi pegawai yang melanggar disiplin, ( ix ) peningkatan pengawasan melekat ( waskat ).
