Abstract
The aim of this research is to examine the influence of good corporate governance mechanisms (board ofcommisioner size, independent commissioners and the presence of audit committee) toward national banking liquidity (LDR ratio) . It also using bank size and blockholders ownership as control variables The samples of this research are all ofpublic .banks companies existed in Indonesia in the year of 2000-2007 which were listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange. The research data were collectedfrom public bank's annual reportfor the period of 2000 until 2007, from Indonesian Banking Directory published by Bank Indonesia, Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) and also from each company's websites Purposive sampling method was used to determine research sample. From this method we have collected 100 observationsfrom 20 public banks companies in S years. By using multiple regression analysis as the research method, the results show that good corporate governance components (board of commissioner size independent commissioners, and also the presence ofaudit committee) don't have significant influence to national banking liqudity (LDR).
