Abstract
ABSTRACT The research for NH3-N load of PT Pupuk Kaltim waste water purpose to identify of NH3-N load, which NH3-N load of waste water for Kaltim-1 Plant, Kaltim-2 Plant and Kaltim-3 Plant, and then The result of identifying and it’s been tested by hypothesis as comparation with PROPER. Choosing of waste water treatment unit be done By this result of research. Conclusion of hypothesis examination are gold level for unit of Amoniak kaltim-1, unit of Urea Kaltim-2 and unit of Urea Kaltim-3, also green level for unit of Amoniak kaltim-2 and blue level for unit of Urea kaltim-1. The result of research give recommendation to install Sharon-Denitrification reactor unit as alternate of “ end of pipe treatment unit “, which the “treated water” outlet from “end of pipe treatment unit” to comply as process water. Investation to install Sharon-Denitrification unit about 2.8 milion US dollars which pay-out time 3.8 years, Profit will be found by PT. Pupuk Kaltim about Rp 6.2424 million per year. Other of benefit will get the good image from public and government. ABSTRAK Penelitian beban NH3-N air limbah di PT. Pupuk Kaltim Tbk bertujuan untuk melakukan identifikasi beban NH3-N air limbah khususnya untuk Pabrik Kaltim-1, Pabrik Kaltim-2 dan Pabrik Kaltim-3, kemudian hasil identifikasi ini diuji dengan metode hipotesa untuk dibandingkan dengan PROPER, selanjutnya dilakukan kajian pemilihan peralatan pengolahan air limbah. Kesimpulan dari uji hipotesa ini terlihat bahwa Unit Amoniak Kaltim-1, Unit Urea Kaltim-2 dan Kaltim-3 berperingkat emas sedangkan Unit Amoniak Kaltim-2 berperingkat hijau serta Unit Urea Kaltim-1 berperingkat biru. Penelitian ini dalam kajian pemilihan proses dengan pendekatan proses biotreatment memberikan rekomendasi untuk memasang unit Reaktor Sharon-Denitrification sebagai alternatif pilihan pemasangan unit end of pipe treatment. Nilai investasi untuk peralatan tersebut sebesar 2,8 juta US$, dengan waktu pengembalian 3,8 tahun. Dengan pemasangan peralatan tersebut maka keuntungan finansiel yang diperoleh PT. Pupuk Kaltim sebesar Rp 6,2424 milyar setiap tahun, Keuntungan lainnya PT Pupuk Kaltim juga mendapatkan citra yang baik dimata masyarakat dan pemerintah.
