Abstract
The purpose of this research is to derive the dispersion relation for magnetic polaritons in metallic antiferromagnetic materials. Semi-infinite geometry is used. By fabricating grooved structure, the screening effect is significantly reduced so that the polaritons can be excited. Without external magnetic field, the dispersion relations of surface polariton modes are reciprocal,( ) ( ) x x w k =w -k . If an external magnetic field is then introduced to the system, the dispersion relations will be nonreciprocal with ( ) ( ) x x w k ¹w -k . The conductivity of metallic antiferromagnetic materials leads to the existence of damping in the polariton modes.
