Abstract

The Effect of Planned Physical Exercise to the Change of Muscle Endurance on the Member of Plaza Fitness Simpang Lima Semarang at The Age 20-25 Years Old Background : Sport on routine and step-by-step basis is very effective to increase muscle work and can affect muscle endurance. Today, there haven’t been many studies describing the effect of exercise program to muscle endurance, especially feet muscle, at fitness center. The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of programmed physical exercise to muscle endurance. Method : This study was a Quasi Experimental with Pre and Post Test Control Group Design. The subject was the member of Plaza Fitness Simpang Lima Semarang, taken by Consecutive Sampling. Study group was programmed 3 types of trainings : Leg Press, Leg Curl, Dumbbell Squat. Comparison group was given 4 types of trainings : Smith Machine, Inner Machine, Lunges, and Stiff Legged Deadlifts which wasn’t planned. Data were obtained by Squat Jump test at 0th, 6th, and 12th week. Normality of study data was tested by Kolmogorov Smirnov, followed by General Linear Model Repeated Measure test. T-test was done at at 0th, 6th, and 12th week. Difference was significant if p < 0.005. Results : Average data from Comparison group at 0th, 6th, and 12th week were 34.1500 ± 8.6588, 34.2000 ± 7.9113, and 34.3500 ± 8.0803, respectively. While average data from Study group at 0th, 6th, and 12th week were 33.6333 ± 6.9156, 40.9333 ± 7.5700, and 50.9333 ± 9.0855, respectively. From both group, we found significant increase of muscle endurance started from 6th week until 12th week [General Linear Model Repeated Measure : Comparison (p=0.001), Study (p=0.001)]. There was significant difference of average muscle endurance after 6th week between Comparison and Study group, 6th week (p=0.002) and 12th week (p=0.001). Conclusion : Programmed physical exercise for 12 weeks can increase muscle endurance. Keywords : Muscle endurance, feet muscle. Pengaruh Latihan Fisik Terprogram Terhadap Perubahan Daya Tahan Otot Pada Anggota Plaza Fitness Simpang Lima Semarang Usia 20 – 25 tahun Latar Belakang: Olahraga secara rutin dan bertahap sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan kerja otot dan memberikan efek terhadap daya tahan otot. Sampai saat ini belum banyak penelitian mengenai program latihan pada tempat fitnes terhadap daya tahan otot terutama otot kaki. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai pengaruh latihan fisik terprogram terhadap daya tahan otot. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah penelitian Quasi Eksperimental dengan Pre and Post Test Control Group Design. Subyek penelitian adalah anggota Plaza Fitness Simpang Lima Semarang, diambil secara Consecutive Sampling. Kelompok perlakuan diberi 3 latihan: Leg Press, Leg Curl, Dumbbell Squat. Kelompok pembanding diberi 4 latihan Smith Machine, Inner Machine, Lunges dan Stiff Legged Deadlifts yang tidak teratur. Data diambil dengan tes squat jump pada minggu ke-0, ke-6 dan ke-12. Data hasil penelitian diuji normalitasnya dengan Kolmogorov-Smirnov kemudian dianalisa dengan uji ˝General Linear Model Repeated Measure˝. Dilakukan T-Test pada minggu ke-0, ke-6 dan ke-12. Perbedaan dinyatakan signifikan bila p < 0,05. Hasil: Rerata kelompok pembanding minggu ke-0 : 34,1500±8,6588, ke-6 : 34,2000±7,9113, ke-12 : 34,3500±8,0803 sedangkan rerata kelompok perlakuan minggu ke-0 : 33,6333±6,9156, ke-6 : 40,9333±7,5700, ke-12 : 50,9333±9,0855, didapatkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada daya tahan otot mulai minggu ke-6 sampai minggu ke-12 baik pada kelompok pembanding maupun kelompok perlakuan (General Linear Model Repeated Measure : pembanding (p=0,001), perlakuan (p=0,001). Ada perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan setelah minggu ke-6 antara kelompok pembanding dan kelompok perlakuan pada daya tahan otot, pada minggu ke-6 (p=0,002) dan ke-12 (p=0,001 ). Kesimpulan: Latihan fisik terprogram selama 12 minggu meningkatkan daya tahan otot. Kata Kunci : daya tahan otot, otot kaki.
