Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh inokulum bakteri asam laktat terhadap kualitas silase limbah sayuran pasar sebagai pakan. Penelitian diharapkan bermanfaat sebagai pedoman dan informasi tentang pembuatan silase limbah sayuran pasar yang efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode percobaan dengan rancangan acak lengkap pola tersarang, dengan perlakuan jenis bakteri: Lactobacillus collinoides, Lactobacillus delbrueckii dan campuran (Lactobacillus collinoides dan Lactobacillus delbrueckii 1:1), dan perlakuan lama inkubasi: 2 hari, 3 hari, 5 hari 10 hari, 15 hari dan 21 hari tersarang pada faktor jenis bakteri. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang 3 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inokulum bakteri asam laktat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas silase limbah sayuran pasar dan inokulum bakteri Lactobacillus delbrueckii secara nyata paling efektif untuk mengkondisikan proses ensilase pada suhu rendah, pH rendah, kandungan asam butirat rendah dan kandungan asam laktat tinggi. Inokulum bakteri Lactobacillus delbrueckii secara nyata mampu memperkecil tingkat penurunan kandungan bahan kering (BK), bahan organik (BO) dan protein kasar (PK) dibanding penggunaan inokulum lainnya. Disamping itu, inokulum Lactobacillus delbrueckii juga mampu mempercepat stagnasi penurunan kualitas dan nilai nutrisi silase pada 5 hari, dibanding inokulum lainnya selama 10 hari. Disarankan, usaha mendapatkan silase limbah sayuran pasar yang baik menggunakan inokulum Lactobacillus delbrueckii. Kata Kunci : silase, limbah sayuran pasar, bakteri asam laktat ABSTRACT This research aimed to know the effect of using lactic acid bacteria inoculant for forage garbage ensiling in traditional market as feeding material. It is expected can be useful as guidanceand information about using forage garbage ensiling in traditional market effectively and efficiently. ACompletely Randomized Design (nested 3x5x3) was used in this experiment. The first factor was inoculant of lactic acid bacteria: A: Lactobacillus collinoides; B: Lactobacillus delbrueckii; C : mixture A and B. The second factor was incubation time: 2, 3, 5, 10, 15 and 21 days nested in kind of inoculant. Each treatment is repeated for 3 times. The result showed that the lactic acid bacteria inoculant affects forage garbage ensiling in traditional market and bacteria inoculant of Lactobacillus delbrueckii was really the most effective to condition ensiling process to decrease temperature, pH, butiric acid content and high lactic acid content. In addition, bacteria inoculant of Lactobacillus delbrueckii evidently able to protect the reduction level of dry mater (DM), organic mater (OM) and crud protein (CP) compared to other inoculant. On the other hand, inoculant of Lactobacillus delbrueckii also able to accelerate the quality reduction stagnation and ensiling nutrition value, is that for 5 days, while other inoculant for 10 days. It is suggested that to obtain good forage garbage ensiling in traditional market, it is better to use Lactobacillus delbrueckii inoculant. Keywords: silage, forage garbage, lactic acid bacteria
