Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mempelajari pengaruh pemberian tongkol bunga matahari (BUMATA) dan Probiotik dalam menurunkan derajat mastitis dan meningkatkan produksi susu sapi perah Fries Holland penderita mastitis sub-klinis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda eksperimental rancangan acak kelompok dengan 4 perlakuan (A. kontrol; B. pemberian bumata 0,01 % berat badan, C. pemberian 100 g/ekor BIOPLUS-Sc, D. kombinasi B dan C) dan 4 kelompok ternak sebagai ulangan yang dibagi berdasarkan produksi susu (< 8 l/ekor/hari; 8 - 12 l/ekor/hari; 12 – 16 l/ekor/hari; >16 l/ekor/hari). Parameter yang diukur adalah jumlah sel radang (somatic cell count, SCC) dan produksi susu. Penelitian berlangsung selama 3 bulan dan data SCC diambil setiap 2 minggu, sedangkan data produksi susu diambil setiap hari sampai penelitian berakhir. Selanjutnya data hasil penelitian diuji menggunakan analisis keragaman dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata antar perlakuan dilakukan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tongkol BUMATA nyata menurunkan SCC (P<0,05) sebesar 67,96% dan nyata meningkatkan produksi susu (P<0,05) sebesar 52,33%, sedangkan pemberiannya secara bersama-sama dengan BIOPLUS-Sc nyata menurunkan SCC (P<0,05) sebesar 45,78 %. Kata kunci: bunga matahari, probiotik, SCC, mastitis ABSTRACT The purposes of this experiment were to evaluate the effect of sunflowers receptalum (Helianthus annuus L.) and probiotic in decreasing mastitis degree and to increase the milk production of subclinical mastitis of Fries Holland dairy cattle. This experimental study used a block randomized design with four tratments (A. Control; B. 0.01% body weight of sunflowers receptalum; C. 100 g/head of BIOPLUS-Sc; D. Combination of B and C). Animal block as replication based on the milk production (<8 liter/head/day; 8-12 l/head/day; 12-16 l/head/day; and >16 l/head/day). The variables were somatic cell count (SCC) and milk production. This experiment was done in three months. Data of SCC were collected every two weeks, and milk production was recorded everyday throughout the experimental period. Results of the experiment showed that sunflowers receptalum significantly (P<0.05) decreased SCC by 67.96 % and significantly increased (P<0.05) milk production by 52.33%. The combination of sunflowes and probiotic significantly decreased (P<0.05) the SCC by 45.78%. Keywords : sunflowers, probiotic, SCC, mastitis
