Abstract
ABSTRACT Experiment were conducted to determine the effect of low dietary protein suplemented by sinthetic lysine during laying period (8-14 weeks old) on efficiency of protein utilization. Experiment used 200 Japanese quil females, kept in battery of wire. As a treatment were four experimental diet e.i, T1 ration of standar protein NRC (20 % protein) , T2 (16 % protein + 0,20 % synthetic lysine), T3 (16% protein + 0,40 % synthetic lysin) and T4 (16 % protein + 0,60 % synthetic lysin). The result of experiment showed that low dietary protein suplemented by sinthetic lysine signifficantly (p < 0,05) increased eggs production and lower feed convertion ratio, reduced nitrogen exretion, increased nitrogen retention, eggmass and protein utilization ratio. Conclution of this experiment were low dietary protein level suplemented by sinthetic lysine (16% protein + 0,40 % synthetic lysine) or total lysine 1,28 % in ration optimal for laying Japanese Quail. Key words : Japanese quail, low dietary protein, synthetic lysine, protein efficiency utilization, egg production.
