Abstract

Status Piutang PT. Bank Jateng Cabang Utama, Pemuda, Semarang setelah keluarnya PP Nomor 33 Tahun 2006 tentang Penghapusan Piutang Negara Menjadi Piutang Non Negara / Daerah, sehingga harus ditangani seperti Piutang Swasta. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui proses penanganan kredit bermasalah PT. Bank Jateng Cabang Utama, Pemuda, Semarang, kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dan jalan keluarnya. Metode penelitian bersifat deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan yuridis empiris. Bahan hukum dan data diperoleh melalui studi pustaka dan survey lapangan dengan alat pengumpul data kajian dokumen dan observasi serta wawancara. Berdasarkan analisis kualitatif, diketahui proses penanganan kredit bermasalah di PT. Bank Jateng Cabang Utama, Pemuda, Semarang dilaksanakan oleh sebuah Unit Penyelamat Kredit dengan usahanya melalui proses penyelamatan kredit, yang mengacu pada ketentuan Bank Indonesia dan peraturan Perusahaan. Kendala yang timbul karena force majeure / wan prestasi dari debitor yang cenderung diselesaikan dengan cara kekeluargaan daripada melalui jalur hukum atau lewat pengadilan. Untuk kedepannya agar mengurangi angka kredit yang bermasalah, supaya lebih selektif dalam memberikan kredit kepada calon debitor dengan mengacu pada ketentuan perbankan. Credit status of PT. Bank Jateng Main Branch of Pemuda, Semarang after the government had issued the Government Ordinance Number 33 Year 2006 concerning State Receivable Abolition Converted to Non-State/Regional Receivable should be handled in the same measures as the Private Receivable. The objective of this research is to find out the process of problematic credit handling at PT. Bank Jateng Main Branch of Pemuda, Semarang, the faced obstacles and the solutions. The used research method is the descriptive-analytical method with the juridicalempirical approach. Lawful materials and data are collected through library research and field research with document review data collecting instrument and observation and also interviews. Based on the qualitative analysis, it is found that the process of problematic credit handling at PT. Bank Jateng Main Branch of Pemuda, Semarang, is executed by a Unit of Credit Savior with its efforts through credit saving process, referring to the terms of the Bank of Indonesia and Company Regulation. The emerging obstacles are caused by force majeure / agreement violations experienced by the debtors, which tend to be resoluted by taking good relationship measures rather than taking lawful measures or by involving the court. For the future, in order to reduce the number of problematic credits, the bank should be more selective in giving credits to the prospect of debtors by referring to the terms of banking.
