Abstract

An experiment was conducted for 6 weeks to study the effect of implementation of fermented eceng gondok by Aspergillus niger on nutrients digestibility and duck performance, based on feed consumption, nutrients digestibility and body weight gains. The experiment used 120 ducks. The experiment was designed by Randomized Block Design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were implementation of DEGF 7, 14 and 21%. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance, while the difference beetwen the threatments was analysed by Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that there were no significant effect of DEGF implementation on feed consumption, but there were significant effect on nutrient digestibility and body weight gains. It can be concluded that DEGF can be applied up to 7% in duck diet without negative effect on nutrients digestibility and duck performance. Keywords : eceng gondok, fermented, digestibility, performance, duck
