Abstract
Kadar serat kasar ransum 3,92-4,12% memungkinkan pertumbuhan tikus 1.71 to 4.64 g per hari. Kata kunci: tikus, serat, nutrien, konsumsi, kecernaan, bobot badan ABSTRACT This experiment aimed to evaluate the intake and digestibility of dry matter, organic matter and fat, and weight gain in mouse as a response to the inclusion of different type of fibrous feed in their rations at level of 1.3-1.5%. Twenty five of mouse (Rattus norvegicus) with average body weight of 65.85 + 8.19 g were grouped, and were alloted in a randomized block design and were offered five rations as treatments. The rations contained different source of fibres : ginger pulp (Jahe), pineapple pulp (Nenas), tea pulp (Teh), tea pulp + cassava by-product (Teh-O), tea pulp + crabs shall (Teh-R). The mouse had dry matter intake of 9.49 -11.72 g per day; and organic matter intake 8.92-11.10 g per day. The dietary fibre content of 3.92-4.12% allowed growth rate of 1.71 to 4.64 g per day. The digestibility coefficient of dry matter, organic matter and fat were not different among rations and varied from 80.31 to 85.00%, from 83.88 to 88.11% and from 67.51 to 93.70%, respectively. The fibre level up to 35% of the 4% total fibre had no significant effect on digestibility of dry matter, organic matter and fat. However, the dietary fibre might alter the nutrient absorption and its deposisition in the body tissue. Keywords: mouse, fibre, nutrient, intake, digestibility, gain
