ANALISIS EFISIENSI OPERASIONAL DAN EFISIENSI PROFITABILITAS PADA BANK YANG MERGER DAN AKUISISI DI INDONESIA (STUDI PADA BANK SETELAH REKAPITALISASI DAN RESTRUKTURISASI TAHUN 1999-2002)

Abstract

Merger should be based on the financial performance approach, business, infrastructure, and capabilities; in order to avoid the failure of merger and acquisition. Hopefully, by merger and acquisition the banks will be better and able to operate efficiently from the aspect of information technology and human resources. This research measured the operational and profitability before and after doing the merger and acquisition. The method used in data analyzing is DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) after the recapitulation and the reconstruction program in Mandiri Bank, Danamon Bank, Permata bank, and Artha Graha Bank. The result hypothesis which was tested with Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test shows that there is no difference in the operational efficiency and the efficiency of profitability before and after the merger and acquisition. Merger dan akuisisi hendaknya didasarkan pendekatan kinerja financial, bisnis, infrastruktur, kapabilitas; agar kegagalan merger dan akuisisi dapat ditekan. Hasil merger dan akuisisi diharapkan bank menjadi lebih baik dan mampu beroperasi secara efisien dari sisi teknologi informasi dan sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini mengukur efisiensi operasional dan profitabilitas bank sebelum dan sesudah merger dan akuisisi yang diolah dengan metode DEA (Data Evelopment Analysis) pada bank setelah program rekapitalisasi dan restrukturisasi yaitu Bank Mandiri, Bank Danamon, Bank Permata dan Bank Arta Graha. Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan uji Peringkat Tanda Wilcoxon menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan efisiensi operasional dan efisiensi profitabilitas sebelum dan sesudah merger dan akuisisi.
